Friends and Fellow Camp Professionals,
We are asking for your help in creating a closing video for the 2022 ACA National Conference. As you probably already know, the theme for this year's conference is "Surviving & Thriving", a testament to the difficulties faced and overcome by the camping industry for the past couple of summers. We all have much to be proud of, as we have continued to serve our communities and have provided life-changing youth development experiences in new and challenging ways.
We would like you to share your successes by submitting videos of individuals in your camp community – directors, campers, staff, and parents, about the following questions:
- What did being able to participate in the camp experience in 2021 mean to them?
- Why does camp mean so much to them?
- How have their lives have been changed by camp?
Below are specific tips and parameters for recording and submitting your video - which will be a HUGE help in editing.
We also welcome inspiring photos from your camp season.
We are asking that submissions are received by January 7, 2022, so that we have adequate time to format and compile them.

Video Parameters and Tips:
- Max of 2.5 minutes
- Landscape format MP4 videos are preferred.
- Make sure audio is clear and free from excessive background noise
- Have interviewees repeat the question when they start their answer:
- For example, the first question is: “What did being able to participate in the camp experience in 2021 mean to them?”
- They can then start their response with “What did being able to participate in the camp experience in 2021 mean to me?”
