Please join us for the Southwest Fall Workshop at the Natural History Museum of Utah in Salt Lake City!  This not-to-miss event features an opening keynote, breakout sessions and plenty of opportunities to network and connect with friends.

Call for Proposals

The Call for Proposals for the Southwest Fall Workshop is now open.  Lectures, hands-on sessions, and panel discussions are welcome.  Sessions are 75 minutes long and will be accepted on a rolling basis.  The deadline to submit is August 27, 2024.  Submit a Session Proposal

The conference planning team is accepting proposals for dynamic and relevant breakout sessions.  Topic ideas include innovative programs, fundraising, justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion, mental health support at camp, staffing, and character development to name a few, however the team is open to other topics, as well.  Speakers receive a discount on their event registration.  The deadline to submit is August 27, 2024.

Kelly is the Executive Director and Co-owner of Hidden Pines Ranch Day Camp, located in Stillwater, MN.  Kelly has a BA in Communication Disorders and MEd in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. She is passionate about creating intentional culture at camp, developing staff as future professionals (and amazing humans), learning, growing as a camp professional, meeting new camp people, driveway dance parties and a good stick-on mustache.

The Natural History Museum of Utah's home, the Rio Tinto Center, is an inspired architectural wonder nestled in the foothills above Salt Lake City. Its distinct architecture, complete with incredible exhibit galleries and sweeping views of the valley, offers a unique setting for the Southwest Winter Workshop.
