American Red Cross Wilderness First Aid (& CPR Optional), Asheville, NC

This program is designed to teach individuals how to deal with emergency situations by using first aid skills in a delayed-help environment.

This course spends the first morning teaching how to do effective patient assessment. The next day and a half are spent practicing patient assessment and practicing hands-on assessment and treatment skills and responses to specific illnesses and injuries that are prevalent in outdoor settings.

Course will be held at Camp Highlander in Mills River, NC. Lodging and meals are not provided. The course will be held mostly outside so please plan to dress accordingly.

Course cost is $195 for Wilderness First Aid only. CPR will be offered as an optional module on Monday evening and will require some online work ahead of time. The cost of CPR + WFA is $250 per person. Payment is due at the course and may be made by check or cash or Venmo.
