The American Camp Association's annual
fund provides the association with resources
to remain proactive and forward thinking
while the annual operating budget allows
ACA to maintain core services for its members. In
giving to our Annual Fund you
state your belief in the benefits of the
camp experience and that the camp community
is worth preserving, protecting, and advancing
for today's and tomorrow's children and
youth.
How Are The
Funds Used?
All funds go
to initiate, facilitate, and support
ACA's efforts to advance the camp experience.
ACA uses the funds to develop the most
current and effective means to deliver
professional development, create annual
public awareness campaigns, and identify
strategies to influence leaders who make
decisions affecting the camp industry.
ACA represents the camp experience and
allows us to share a single strong voice
effectively expressing the value of the
camp experience for all.
How your donations are
used:
- promoting research and implementation
of new training programs
- supporting educational event
expenses
- updating materials to reflect current
practices and trends
- offering accreditation materials
at reasonable costs through large production
runs
- enhancing overall promotion of
the camp experience
About Annual
Fundraising Events
Benefits are organized
at national conferences and section meetings
as fund raising events which provide large
gifts to the fund. Your commitment is serious,
but your contribution should be fun. At
national conference gatherings a portion
of the registration fee is designated to
the Annual Fund. Whenever these events
take place, you will enjoy the camaraderie
of friends and the mutual commitment to
the belief in the camp experience.
Your Involvement
Growth as professionals, growth in our campers, and growth in our annual fund
is essential. Each year we need to invest dollars for new products, research,
and training events to remain viable and credible. This is where your involvement
becomes so important. Your belief, commitment, and continued giving to the
American Camp Association ensure that our collective and powerful voice on
behalf of the camp experience is heard by all.
