"Staff Recruiting &
Retention: Strategies that Work"
Today, summer is a time
of resume building for college students;
a time to gain experience and skills that
will help them get a job in a competitive
market after college. This session will
provide an insiders perspective on how to
reach out to today's college students. Topics
of discussion will include successful strategies
for making your pitch to students, as well
as how to work with Campus administrative
offices and student organizations. We'll
discuss translating camp responsibilities
and experiences into valuable resume building
skills, and strategies to retain staff year
after year.

Director of Career Services, Thayer School

“Recognizing and Dealing
with Sexual Abuse”
Brad will present a short general overview
about issues currently confronted by for-profit
and not-for-profit camps from several areas
of interest.
He will then focus the session on prevention
and recognition of sex abuse - whether it
has occurred at home or at camp. He will
cover staff training, recognizing the issue,
screening staff, reporting requirements,
etc. He will provide practical suggestions
regarding policies and practices to avoid
problems before they occur.
