Green Resources for Family Fun

NatureRocks

Let’s Rock! Check out Nature Rocks for fun and easy ways to connect your family with nature in and around your home. Nature Rocks has over 100 activities for your family, a find nature tool for opportunities in your neighborhood or town, and great ways to connect with other families, too. We want all families throughout America to see for themselves how much Nature Rocks. Your kids will be happier, healthier, and smarter, and besides, it is generally free and a rockin’ way to create and share fun quality family time.

Nature Rocks was founded by ecoAmerica and the Children & Nature Network, and has been brought to life through partnerships with The Nature Conservancy, REI, the American Camp Association, and the Flora Family Foundation all of whom provide funding and/or in-kind support.

Resources to Help Camps Market Programs to Parents and Connect Children and Nature

Nature Circle Cards

ACA has collaborated with Hooked on Nature to bring Nature Circle Cards to campers, camp staff, and parents.

Hooked On Nature provides resources, workshops, and training to inspire and empower people to develop joyful, loving, lifelong relationships — with each other and the natural world.

Nature Circles and the 52 Ways to Fall in Love with the Earth blog were designed by Hooked On Nature to bring people and nature together. The circles are like outdoor book clubs where people get together and instead  of talking about a book, they ‘read’ the book of nature and share their experiences of the natural world.

Nature Circle Cards are a "take it with you resource" that makes it easy for anyone, anywhere to create a circle experience for friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers.
