Discounted room rates are available, on
a first-come, first-served basis, through
January 12. You can reserve
rooms online,

Research on Teens Available to Camps
ACA camps will receive two newsletters
per month on teen-related research. These
newsletters will be forwarded online
and are one of the significant benefits
of the relationship between ACA and Teenage
Research Unlimited. Watch your e-mail
in January for the first installment
of TRU View, which is a multimedia trend
report. Teenage Research Unlimited
was founded in 1982 as the first marketing
research firm to specialize exclusively
in the teenage market. We'll learn
about what teens buy, what works
in terms of influence, and what does
not, as well as what motivates teens.

Resource Pack to Feature ACA Outcomes
Tools
In early April, you can access a resource
pack containing a workbook, templates,
and tools on CD-ROM, which focus on measuring
camper outcomes. Based on ACA research
and complementary studies by related youth
development institutions, this workbook
guides you through the process of measuring
outcomes, provides tools for camps, along
with supporting resources and links. A
facilitator's guide will be developed as
well. The elasticity of the material
makes the pack highly accessible and suitable
for groups and individual learners. More
to come in February!

Accreditation Resources
Have you discovered it yet? Have you discovered
the plethora of useful templates, sample
procedures, and Web resources available
to camps to help prepare for accreditation
visits? Did you know that ACA has provided
a very useful resource in addition to
your Accreditation
Process Guide (APG)?
What is it? We are referring to the CD-ROM
that is enclosed in a colored envelope
tucked into the pocket of every APG.
Share Your Ideas
Have a resource that you love which is
not included in the CD-ROM? Would you
like to share? If you have resources
which you think other directors in the
field could benefit from—and you
are willing to share—please send
the resource attached to an e-mail to
Kim
Brosnan,
accreditation programs manager. Any resources
sent to ACA will be shared in updated
versions of the CD-ROM or on the ACA
Web site.
