Camp Schodack Celebrates 50th Anniversary

On August 19-20, Camp Schodack, in Schodack, New York, celebrated its 50th anniversary in camping. Approximately 450 alumni and friends came to camp for a weekend of recollections, friendship, and old-fashioned fun. Alumni spanning all five generations were there to recall the "good old days," sing camp songs, and reconnect with long lost friends.

As part of the festivities, Paul and Linda Krouner were honored for their 37th year as directors.  Paul's grandparents established a dairy farm and boarding house on the land in 1913. They opened Krouners Hotel in 1925.  Paul's father and mother, Louis and Clara Krouner, converted the hotel into Camp Schodack in 1957.
