Illinois Park and Recreation Association along with American Camp Association is putting on a Best of The Best Day camp workshop, on January 8th, in Rolling Meadows.

We are looking for your best programming ideas!

ACA MID STATES CAMPING CONFERENCE - March 26-28, 2009

You are invited to submit your proposal and share your knowledge       at the Seventeenth Annual Mid States Camping Conference, March 26-28, 2009 at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, IL. There will be six 75 minute educational sessions: one on Thursday evening, three on Friday and two on Saturday. You are welcome to submit as many proposals as you would like. The deadline for submissions is November 1, 2008.

Lincoln Park Zoo - Paddle BoatsDonation

ACA-Il distributed an email to non-for-profit camps with an offer from  the Lincoln Park Zoo to donate used paddleboats.  The response was overwhelming!  Unfortunately, they  were unable to personally contact each camp that inquired about the boats.  

Six camps have been selected to receive five boats each and these camps have been notified of their selection via e-mail.  If your camp did not receive an email from us you can assume that you are not among those receiving the boats.
